Android Bluetooth Remote Control for Arduino

If you dont have a display to connect to your arduino, and dont want to put buttons on your project, why don’t use your Android phone to control it?

I developed an Arduino App using Appinventor, a very powerful IDE, to communicate to any Arduino Project. To install the app just CLICK HERE, using your phone.

You can download the app from the Play store, just search for “Ricardo HP” or go to THIS PAGE, and click at the link “Arduino Bluetooth Control” it will redirect to the play store to download.

After you start the app you get the main screen:

Just press the connect button, and it will list the device ( if it is already paired. If not, please pair the device ) If you used the jymcu bluetooth module, the device will show as linvor

If the status message is showing green you are all set! Just press your buttons and send your commands!

Basically you can send any digit between 0 and 9 or a generic string using the text box. On my fist test, I was able to see the characters pressed appearing on my serial monitor, using the same code I put on the last article.

On the next Article I will write a simple Android app to control a led strip, using the app.

IF someone else already did it, please share!

Greetings!
